Each year Riverside Turners gives multiple awards to graduating high school seniors who are going on to 2 or 4 year colleges. In 2023 we gave $5,000 total to 14 students from local high schools.

The funds for these awards come from donations throughout the year and our annual golf outing.  

Riverside Turners - Daisy Leidy High School Award

This award is a $500 award given annually to up to two graduating seniors (one boy and/or one girl) who are the child or grandchild of a Riverside Turners member** in good standing.   The student must have plans to attend a 2 or 4 year college or trade school following high school. To be considered for the award the student must complete an application, including a 500 word essay on what the Turners Motto "A sound mind in a sound body" represents to them.  

**The sponsoring member (parent/grandparent) must have been a member in good standing for at least two prior consecutive years and current for this year (ex. joined 2022 or earlier and current for 2024.)

Riverside Turners also gives out several $250 awards to students of local high schools, regardless of affiliation to our organization.

Rich Minteer Memorial Award

This award is given each year to four students graduating from Riverside High School in memory of Rich Minteer, a past President, Vice President, Counsel and most importantly a friend to Riverside Turners.  The recipients of these awards are chosen with assistance from the guidance department at each high school.

Riverside Turners Sound Mind, Sound Body Award

This award is given to two students each from Burlington City High School, Burlington Township High School, Cinnaminson High School, Delran High School, Moorestown High School and Palmyra High School. The recipients of these awards are chosen with assistance from the guidance department at each high school.
